Root LG Optimus G E975


The LG Optimus G E975 was released recently by LG, and it was available on the stores just yesterday, but today LG Optimus G E975 has been rooted successfully. This is how fast the developers work that just one day after the release of LG Optimus G E975 the device has been rooted. So here's how to Root LG Optimus G E975.

Root LG Optimus G E975 Guide

  1. Connect you LG Optimus G E975 to your PC.
  2. Now install the LG Optimus G E975 drivers.
  3. Now unzip the downloaded file.
  4. In your LG Optimus G E975, go to Settings, and turn on USB Debugging, in the Development section.
  5. Also, please see that you are in Charge Only Mode.
  6. Now run CurrentRoot.bat file that you downloaded, and wait for prompt.
  7. Change to MTP mode, in your LG Optimus G E975.
  8. Wait for you PC to ask how to view files.
  9. Select CMD Prompt, and press enter to continue.
  10. Done, your LG Optimus G E975 will be rooted.
That's it ! Congrats you have rooted your new LG Optimus G E975. Now enjoy a completely rooted LG Optimus G E975.

    Hi Harcharan Singh

    Are there anything I should be concerned with? Will everything work normally if I don't flash a custom rom?
    I heard something about 4G not working after root?

    Do you know if it will work on an Optimus G from Denmark?

      Hi !

      Forgive me for not writing before, but I hadn't noticed your comment. Sorry !

      If you just root everything will be alright. But if you flash a custom ROM you will be changing your system files, so after that something might not work.

      But by rooting nothing bad will happen ( at least it didn't happen here )

      Hope u enjoy a rooted Optimus G ! ( and I think that it will work in Optimus G from Denmark but I haven't tested on that, as this guide is for the Indian version )

      Had the same error, changed properties on all .exe files to be executed as administrator and it seems to have worked for LG E976. A lot of confirmation prompts :P

    I had to change the bat file because it couldn't load adb.exe. thereafter i had to change it so it loaded adb.exe and busybox.exe as admin. that fixed it for me. hope this helps.
